TEAMBUILDING

In compliance
with Civil Service Regulations and Collective Negotiation Agreements, the staff
and  personnel of TESDA-Lazi National
Agricultural School (LNAS) and the Siquijor Provincial TESDA Office conducted a
Team-Building Seminar Workshop at Salagdo-ong Beach Resort in Maria, Siquijor
on June 9-10, 2011.

Siquijor, delivering an inspirational message to the body during the TESDA TEAMBUILDING
SEMINAR WORKSHOP at Salagdo-ong Beach Resort in Maria, Siquijor, on June 9-10,
2011.

The opening program
was held at the spacious Agripino Hotel within the resort. It was highlighted
with  a conference with the newly-
installed OIC-Provincial Director of the Province in the person of Engr. Samuel
A. Jordan, the former OIC-Provincial Director of TESDA-Negros Oriental.  He was presented to the body by Ms.
Visitacion C.  Millanes, the outgoing
OIC-Provincial Director.  A long-time
acquaintance,  Sam, as he is more
popularly called, shared his views and insights into the need of transforming  TESDA-Siquijor into a more cohesive,
productive and responsive unit in the Authority.

Figure 2.  An unidentified parlor game being
contested by the Green Team, led by Brenda Bation,  during the TESDA TEAMBUILDING SEMINAR
WORKSHOP at Salagdo-ong Beach Resort in Maria, Siquijor, on June 9-10,
2011.

Invited as Teambuilding facilitator was  Dr. Nichol R. Elman, the Director of the
Silliman University Extension Program who came all the way from Dumaguete
City.  He is also a member of the Negros
Oriental Tourism Council.  Unfortunately,
he did not make it to the seminar because of health problems.  After a brief consultation with doctors
at  the Lazi Medicare Community Hospital,
he was advised to go home and get rest.

The group had to proceed with the other
activities of the program which included parlor games, discussion on operational
matters, energizers, luncheons, snacks, etc.
Engr.  Winefredo B. Salas, the
Officer-in-Charge of TESDA-LNAS also failed to come because of conflicts in
schedule at the Regional Office in Cebu City.
His texted inspirational message was,
however, read to the body by Sam Jordan.   It can be remembered that the Provincial
Office and the school were integrated and shared office at Lazi for
cost-cutting purposes, among others.

For the parlor games,
the group was divided into the green, blue, and yellow teams.  As always, it was swept by the green team
under the outstanding performance of its leader, Brenda Bation.

WORKSHOP at Salagdo-ong Beach Resort in Maria, Siquijor, on June 9-10,
2011.

Interestingly, the highest official of the
Province, Governor Orlando “Shane” A.
Fua Jr.,   was able to grace the
occasion as he happened to be inspecting resort-improvement projects at
the   area.  A
few years back, he was an invited guest during a similar activity at the
Norwegian Dream Beach Resort at Candanay Sur in Siquijor Town(JCM).
